The Machine
A 13-year-old
has landed the starring role in a challenging new movie directed and produced
by two award-winning film-makers.
Jade Croot, from Pontypridd, will play a child with Rett Syndrome in The
Machine, starring former James Bond villain Toby Stephens and Bleak House star
Denis Lawson.
This is the
teenager’s first film project after previously impressing in stage productions
of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Cardiff’s New Theatre, and
Les Miserables at Pontypridd’s Muni Arts Centre.
Jade, who
goes to the Mark Jermin Stage School, said: “I am really enjoying filming over
the summer. I love my part and have found it really interesting.
