- The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists (DVD release)
Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman and David Tennant talk The Pirates!: video
The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists hits DVD and Blu-ray next week, and we’ve got an exclusive early look at a bonus featurette (which you can watch below).
Hugh Grant discusses the unusual task of getting into character when you’re playing a plasticine pirate, and also shares his bemusement at the quality of his co-stars.
Co-stars Martin Freeman and David Tennant also contribute to the featurette on voice acting.
Aardman/Sony Pictures animation The Pirates! sees Grant’s Pirate Captain attempting to bag the elusive ‘Pirate of the Year’ award for seven-seas adventuring. Charles Darwin (Tennant) may be key to landing the prize, but The Pirate with a Scarf (Freeman) isn’t convinced.
Check out the featurette below:
The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is available on (deep breath) Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download from 10 September 2012.

- Much Ado About Nothing (digital download)
Gone are the days when theatre was accessible to limited audiences – today’s trend is for shows to be screened, live streamed or put online. Pushing the digital revolution further is a new partnership between Digital Theatre and Routledge Publishing.
Digital Theatre works with Britain's leading companies to capture live performance on screen. Using multiple camera angles and high-definition technology, they bring acclaimed stage productions to an online audience.
Shows featured on www.digitaltheatre.com include Much Ado About Nothing, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate, and All My Sons, with David Suchet and Zoƫ Wanamaker. Each video is available to download or rent online, for a one-off payment or as part of a subscription.
Routledge bring an extensive publishing programme of theatre-related books and journals to the partnership, to offer a web audience an impressively comprehensive collection of material and resources on Routledgeperformancearchive.com.
The fully searchable and cross-referenced website includes more than 40 hours of video and will continue to grow, with additional content added every three months.
