Greg Hemphill: no revival for 'Still Game'

Still Game stars Victor and Jack

Greg Hemphill insists Still Game won't return to TV screens despite online campaign

The online campaign saw more than 8500 people sign up, however the Scots comic revealed there were no plans to revive the hit show

Still Game star Greg Hemphill has told internet campaigners the show won’t be coming back… for now.

More than 8500 people signed up for a Facebook group to revive Jack and Victor’s adventures. It called on 500 people to tweet Hemphill and encourage him to work with co-creator Ford Kiernan again.

Responding to dozens of tweets, he wrote: “Sorry to report that Ford and I have no plans at the moment to bring Still Game back.”

The hit BBC show ran for 44 episodes between 2002 and 2007. Scots got hooked on the OAPs’ hilarious adventures in fictional Craiglang. But the laughs stopped when Hemphill and Kiernan split over differences at their production company Effingee.
