David Tennant: news and project updates

Tomorrow (Mon 13 August) Absolute Radio DJ Christian O'Connell will play a recording of David Tennant reciting the words of Spandau Ballet's 1983 hit Gold during his breakfast show.

  • DVD and Audiobook releases
Tues 14 Aug - My Sister Lives On The Mantlepiece audiobook released in the US.

Tues 14 Aug - An abridged version of the Doctor Who: The Feast of the Drowned audiobook released in the US.

The release of the DVD of Shakespeare Uncovered (the DVD is currently called Prefaces To Shakespeare) has been postponed in the UK and Europe, according to Amazon, from 27th August to 29th October. The release has been delayed in the US until 5th November.

Amazon are listing The Spies Of Warsaw DVD available to pre-order for the UK and Europe with the release date of 29th October. However the BBC Shop have it for £1 cheaper with the release date of 24th September.

  • Broadchurch
David Tennant will start filming Broadchurch in Somerset and the Bristol area tomorrow (Monday 13th August 2012). The read-through for at least the first block of filming was on Tuesday 7th August. Broadchurch will be broadcast on ITV during early 2013.

Due to his reactions on Attack Of The Show last week, believe that David Tennant will be involved in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary next year. (David did not confirm or deny anything although previously his stock answer has always been that he had not been asked yet.)
