'Angels and Demons' release pushed back in Mexico

It was reported a few days ago that Angels and Demons had been affected by the swine flu outbreak in Mexico. Theater chains like Cinemark, Cinemex, Cinema Lumiere, and Cinepolis had to close down, especially in Mexico City. Angels and Demons was moved from a May 15th opening date to a June 12th opening.

Most theaters have been closed for the past 11 days, but some movie theaters outside of Mexico City started to reopen today. Theaters are taking precautions - employees wear masks, wear rubber gloves, and after each showing, theaters will scrub down.

So, it seems that while some theaters are opened, audiences in Mexico will still have to wait until June 12 for Angels and Demons to open. Hopefully this blows over soon, and people take precautions to stay safe.
