- In the Dark Half (2012) Trailer
Midlands What’s On review:
"A thriller set in the rural outskirts of Bristol, In The Dark Half lays on the atmosphere as thick as it can. The sound editing takes up most of the slack in this tale of grief and single parenthood, but the performances are not up to snuff. Having delivered two excellent turns in Tamara Drewe and Hanna, Jessica Barden has shown what a good actress she can be. But as a lonely fifteen-year-old haunted by the boy next door, she is unable to make us believe. In fact, everything about the film is unconvincing, right up to its inexplicable climax."Source: What's On

Tony Curran: 'Defiance' at SDCC (videos and photos)
Entertainment Weekly have earmarked Defiance in their Comic-Con 2012: TV We Can't Wait To See list
Defiance
Thirty-five years into the future after an ill-fated war, all sorts of aliens are living among the humans in an eclectic boomtown that's built on top of old St. Louis. But think of Defiance — which will launch concurrently as an MMO videogame — not as an extraterrestrial-versus-human saga but as more of an immigrant drama. ''The seven races of aliens never liked each other all that much, and humans are essentially the eighth race,'' says exec producer Kevin Murphy. ''And all of these factions form different alliances and perspectives on what the world should be and where we should be going as a society.'' This particular society includes aspirational new mayor Amanda (Julie Benz), whose sister, Kenya (Mia Kirshner), is the town madam; and Nolan (Grant Bowler), a drifting scavenger who settles in Defiance with his adopted alien daughter, Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas). ''It's very unusual for a human and an Irathient to be joined at the hip the way Nolan and Irisa are,'' Murphy notes. ''He's basically our Han Solo, and she's our hot alien Chewbacca.'' Hot alien Chewbacca? We defy you not to watch now. (Syfy, April 2013) —Dan Snierson

The only trouble is, the worse he makes her feel, the more he realises he is in love with her...Tom realises that the only way he’s going to get her to finish the novel is to make her life a misery. With the help of his best friend and cynical, child-hating high school teacher, Roddy, he sets about trying to dismantle the things in Jane’s life that make her happy.Meanwhile, Jane’s block spirals out of control – to the point where her fictional characters, twiddling their thumbs in the not-happening novel, intrude into her real life. Her heroine, DARSIE, is terrified that Jane won’t give her the ending she desires because Jane has given up on her own happy ending. Will Tom, or Darsie, manage to get Jane writing again, and create a happy ending for everyone?
