There's more release date news today with the announcement that The Men Who Stare at Goats will open on November 6, 2009. The film has also been added to the Venice Film Festival line-up, but it will be out of competition.The film, starring Ewan McGregor is based on Jon Ronson's novel of the same name and focuses on soldiers trained to fight with paranormal powers.
What I find really interesting about this news is the fact that Overture is distributing The Men Who Stare at Goats and it was Overture who announced yesterday that Law Abiding Citizen was being moved to an October 2009 release date. Moving two films into the middle of awards season in the same week seems pretty confident to me.
