Incendiary to screen at the London Film Festival

The London Film Festival announced its official program schedule today. Incendiary, starring Ewan McGregor will be screened at the upcoming London Film Festival on Oct. 18 and 19 2008. You can go here to find out how to book tickets for the screening. Also here's summary of the film's plot from the London Film Festival's website:

Adapted here for the screen by writer-director Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones' Diary), Chris Cleave's original novel is the story of a young woman whose husband and four-year-old son are killed in a massive suicide bomb attack on a packed London football stadium.

Ewan McGregor's upcoming film to be shown at Sundance

The Sundance Film Festival officially opens on Jan. 17 2008 in Park City, Utah and Ewan McGregor's film, Incendiary will have several screenings at the festival. The official festival site posted a schedule for screenings:

Sun. January 20, 9:30pm, Eccles Theatre, Park City

Mon. January 21, 8:30am, Prospector Square Theatre, Park City

Tue. January 22, 9:00pm, Screening Room, Sundance Resort

Sat. January 26, 12:30pm, Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, SLC

Ewan McGregor's upcoming movie may be a studio nightmare

According to the New York Daily news, Ewan McGregor's latest film, Cassandra's Dream has been pushed back (again!) to a January 18 US release date. It was scheduled for a December 28 opening which would have qualified if for the Academy Awards. The film has gotten mostly positive reviews despite its release day being toyed with. Here's a great quote from www.filmsinreview.com by Victoria Alexander.

"McGregor’s sexual appeal is more fully on display here than in the past. He must be highly charismatic in person but has consistently failed to translate it on the screen. ... He’s sexy, selfish, and vibrant. [Colin] Farrell has the more difficult role and he does a terrific job taking the collapse of his character and making it believable."

Ewan's other upcoming, terrorist themed film Incendiary was picked up by the Sundance Film Festival which runs from January 17 to January 27, 2008. I don't know how I missed this piece of news, but its good news nonetheless.
