Dougray Scott: new 'Last Passenger' images

New images and concept art from Last Passenger

Following on from the exclusive first-look images that were debuted almost a year ago, the official Facebook page has released some new images from British movie Last Passenger

The movie stars Dougray Scott, Iddo Goldberg, Joshua Kaynama, Kara Tointon and is directed by Omid Nooshin. This is the one of the first movies in the venture supported by both the BFI and Pinewood Studios who have joined together with Future Films /2B Pictures, Pathé and NDF International to co-produce the film.

Last Passenger tells the story of Lewis Shaler (Dougray Scott), an overworked doctor and devoted single dad heading home with his young son on the last train from London. When he strikes up a relationship with a beautiful and flirtatious stranger, Lewis believes life is finally looking up. But events then take a dark turn when he discovers the guard has mysteriously vanished and the brakes have been sabotaged. Unknown to the handful of remaining passengers, a vengeful sociopath has taken control of the train and is hell-bent on crashing it, taking his passengers with him to the grave.

We’ve not got a release date as yet but as you’ll see from these rather stunning photos and concept art, the movie is coming along nicely!

‘Last Passenger’ trailer arrives

He’s played Prince Henry in “Ever After,” a villain in “Mission: Impossible II” and most recently Arthur Miller in “My Week With Marilyn.” Now, actor Dougray Scott takes on the role of Lewis Shaler, a doctor and single dad based in London who’s on the last train out of the city with his son in ”Last Passenger”.

When Shaler strikes up a relationship with a pretty stranger, he believes his life may be on the upswing, except the guard has mysteriously vanished and the train has been sabotaged. There’s only a handful of passengers and the brakes don’t work.

Dougray Scott's 'Last Passenger' given the greenlight

Dougray Scott's Last Passenger marks the second script greenlit with the help of cash from U.K. studio facilities operator Pinewood Shepperton via its low-budget movie investment fund.

Written and directed by Omid Nooshin, the project is billed as a thriller and details the story of a doctor who finds himself on a runaway commuter train and also stars Kara Tointon.

Budgeted at just north of £1.2 million ($2.5 million), the movie is also bankrolled by Future Film and the BFI Film Fund.

Pathe is handling international sales and inked deal memos with nine territories including Russia, Brazil, Turkey and Portugal during this year’s Festival de Cannes on the back of a dummy trailer for the film.

Pinewood Shepperton is aiming to back four films a year from first-timers, with a combined budget of around $13 million.

Earlier this year, the group pushed cash into the Simon Pegg's A Fantastic Fear of Everything, co-directed by Crispian Mills and Chris Hopewell.
