David Tennant news update: 'Rex' canned, 'Glorious 39' headed to the US + more

NBC did not pickup Rex is Not Your Lawyer for its upcoming fall season, so it's been scrapped.

In other news, David Tennant has been cast in Decoy Bride alongside Alice Eve and Kelly MacDonald. The project was announced at the Cannes Film Festival last Friday and is set to start shooting for 5 weeks this June. It will shoot on the Isle of Man and in Scotland.

The Decoy Bride tells the story of a superstar actress, Lara (Eve), who just wants to marry her cute British boyfriend James (Tennant), and believes the sleepy Scottish Island of Hegg is the one place the world’s press won’t find them. But when an ingenious paparazzo tracks them down, the diva must find a decoy bride and thinks local girl Katie (MacDonald) will be an ideal replacement. But when Katie meets James, sparks fly. Glorious 39 which was released in the UK last year, is now headed to the US. No word yet on when it will be released. Thanks so much to mcfangirl for this information.

Air dates for David Tennant's appearance on The Sarah Jane Adventures

David Tennant's episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures, entitled The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith will be aired on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 on BBC 1. The Waters of Mars, his upcoming Doctor Who Special is scheduled to air on BBC 1 sometime in November.

You can also check out a review (beware of the spoilers) of his new film Glorious 39 which premiered at TIFF on Monday. Tonight is the film's second screening and official press call.

London Film Festival line-up: includes Glorious 39 and The Men Who Stare at Goats

The official line-up for this year's London Film Festival has been unveiled. Glorious 39, which stars David Tennant now has a screening schedule:

Tuesday, October 27 at 18:00pm on Vue Screen 5 Tuesday, October 27 at 18:15pm on Vue Screen 7 Wednesday, October 28 at 16:00pm on Vue Screen 6 - this screening has subtitles and audio-description.


The Men Who Stare at Goats starring Ewan McGregor will also be screened. Here's the schedule:

Thursday, October 15 at 19:00pm at Odeon Leicester Sq. Sunday, October 18 on Vue Screen 7
