Project Motor Mouth
Alongside Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy, Colin Baker and Paul McGann, David Tennant attended the Project Motor Mouth fan convention in Slough on 19th January.

Every Seventh Wave
On Tuesday 15th January, David Tennant and Emilia Fox recorded Every Seventh Wave which is the sequel to Love Virtually.
It will premiere on BBC radio Four on Valentine's Day (Thursday 14th February).

Shakespeare Uncovered
David Tennant can currently be seen in adverts on PBS in the US for Shakespeare Uncovered. His episode about Hamlet airs on Friday 8th February. A screenshot is here.

BAFTA screening: Broadchurch
BAFTA are holding a preview screening of Broadchurch on Tuesday 19th February. It will be followed by a Q&A. Writer Chris Chibnall and director of some of the episodes James Strong are confirmed. Some of the cast will attend but it has not been announced which ones yet. (David Tennant is expecting to be filming The Escape Artist at that time).
All the public tickets for the Broadchurch BAFTA preview screening on 19th February are now sold out, although there are some available for BAFTA members. Also producer Richard Stokes has tweeted that he will also attend that evening.

The ITV showreel of upcoming programmes has been posted to BlogtorWho, and includes Broadchurch.

Virgin adverts
Virgin have added the second of David Tennant's 2013 Virgin Media collection videos online. In this one there are three 'David Tennants' fighting plus the real David Tennant talking to the camera.
Fans are reporting that there are currently large cardboard cut outs of David Tennant in Virgin Media stores.

The Escape Artist
Although not officially announced yet, David Tennant's co-star in The Escape Artist will be Ashley Jensen. Filming is scheduled for February and March for this BBC One production.
TV Wise reports that Tony Gardner has also been cast in The Escape Artist.

Audiobooks
David Tennant has started his work in 2013 by recording audiobooks as he has been in the studio reading both How To Steal A Dragon's Sword and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Race Against Time.
On Thursday afternoon Soundhouse Studios tweeted that David Tennant had completed recording the new Chitty Chitty Bang Bang audiobook Chitty Chitty Bang Bang And The Race Against Time.

Virgin Media Collection
David Tennant can currently be seen on television and online in a number of adverts for the Virgin Media Collection. He appears alongside Sir Richard Branson, Usain Bolt and some look-alikes.

There are also some clips online on the Virgin Media website.
The Virgin Media website has a new David Tennant video with at least four different endings! Keep on the page to see the first ending and then replay the video to watch them all.

The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists
The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists movie (known as The Pirates! Band Of Misfits in the US) has been nominated for the Best Animated Feature Award in this year's Oscars. David Tennant voices the young Charles Darwin in the movie.

Believe It!
Believe It! has been shortlisted for the Best Scripted Comedy Award in the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2013. (That page includes a new photo of David Tennant from when he hosted the 2012 Award ceremony.) In the 2012 awards David Tennant won the Best Actor Award for his role in Kafka The Musical which was first broadcast in April 2011 and somehow that drama is on the shortlist for the Tinniswood Radio Drama Award 2012 for Best Radio Drama Script.

Doctor Who
The Radio Times have reported that Big Finish will be releasing a 100-minute-long audio story The Light At The End to celebrate the Doctor Who 50th anniversary. Former Doctors Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann are already confirmed and Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith are "behind the project" which will be released in November.

Fri 20 July - New permanent Doctor Who Exhibition in Cardiff opens today. Includes exhibits of costumes and props from David Tennant's era.

  • Shakespeare Uncovered

David Tennant is one of the hosts for the documentary Shakespeare Uncovered which is part of the BBC Shakespeare Unlocked season.

David Tennant's episode is about Hamlet and he explores the different approaches actors have taken to the role of the Danish prince. Alongside Simon Russell Beale and Ben Whishaw, he explores why the play is often regarded as Shakespeare's finest work. He also explains why he believes its popularity has endured to the present day.

David's episode will première on UK television on Tuesday 17th July 2012 at 11.20pm on BBC Two, with a repeat the following evening on BBC HD at 11.50pm

A DVD of the series will be released on 27th August in the UK (details here)
