Tony Curran: official Facebook page updates

New from Tony Curran's official Facebook page -

Defiance - April 2013

"This shot was taken during the shooting of the Pilot of Defiance.com April 2013, Datak and Stahma Tarr,a couple not to be trifled with, if you know whats good for you. Myself and my lovely co star Jaime Murray."

League of Extraordinary Gentleman
"It has been 10 yrs since we shot LXG, 6 months shooting in Prague, was an amazing time, shame it was Sean Connerys last Film but what a fun time. Myself and my friend Jason Flemyng coined the new phrase Prosthetic Depression, being in Latex for to long can drive you a wee bit mad, not to mention tight blue spandex. "

Underworld: Evolution
"First Scene I shot in Underworld was when Marcus rises from his coven, 7 hours in make up and we shot it in two shakes of a lambs tale, Prosthetic Depression was about to envelope my soul, happy daze....."

Boardwalk Empire
"When I went for a wardrobe fitting for Boardwalk in Williamsburg Brooklyn it was 105 outside and the old jewish tailor that had been there since the early nineteen hundreds had no AC inside, wow that was some hot scratchy wool man, met Steve Buscemi and discussed the character, I said I dont get whacked maybe Eamon can return? He gave me a wry smile and walked off in to the heat."

Doctor Who
"It was a great role to play and Vincent Van Gogh was an incredible man but most importantly I felt was the reaction from people who have experienced depression and mental health, it is such a stigma in areas of society and it should not be the case, when people say they watched this episode and it moved them, made them feel they were not alone and went on to get help, Its why I became an actor in the first place."

The new US trailer for The Ghost Writer featuring Ewan McGregor:

The Ghost Writer's new U.S. official website is now up, but there's not much on it yet. A couple of new exclusive photos (via ComingSoon) from the film are below.

Earlier today Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey were knighted in France in the National Order of Arts and Letters. "At Monday's ceremony, French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand declared, 'I love you Jim Carrey! I love you Ewan McGregor!' He added that French moviegoers feel the same." Thanks so much to Magdaléna for sharing this information with us on our Facebook page.

Ewan and co-star Jim Carrey also attended the premiere of I Love You Phillip Morris at Cinematheque Francaise in Paris, and you can check out photos of them on the red carpet:

Gerard Butler's SNL promo + more LAC press

Gerard Butler's Saturday Night Live promo is now online and you can watch it below. Gerry will host this Saturday's (October 17) episode of SNL on NBC.

THR caught Gerard Butler and his co-star Viola Davis on the red carpet at the Law Abiding Citizen premier last week:

Gerard also did an interview with Parade and I've posted an excerpt from the article:
Not your typical fitness buff.
"I'm very extreme, so sometimes I keep it in my head to train a lot and other times I just abandon the whole thing, especially when I travel. Sometimes I get into traveling mode and pop off to New York or Scotland and London or even into Iceland and India. When I'm doing that, it's very difficult to keep up my fitness regime. So then I just start eating like a pig until I think, 'OK, it's time to swing the other way again.' I'd say it's a constant battle."

Update: Here are the UK websites for Law Abiding Citizen - Facebook, Twitter, Official Site.

Updates on The Men Who Stare at Goats: Toronto screenings and a trailer debut

The Men Who Stare at Goats, starring Ewan McGregor, will have its premier screening at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday, September 11 at 6:30pm at the Roy Thomson Hall. It will also have a public screening on Sunday, September 13 at 11:30am at Ryerson.

The film has also unveiled its new official website. There isn't much on the site yet, but more content will probably be up in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime you can check the film's new Twitter page and Facebook page for updates. I still haven't been able to verify if the Twitter page is legit, but it seems like the real thing. Jon Ronson, the writer of the book the film is based on will reportedly be live tweeting from the screenings at the Venice and Toronto film festivals.

The most exciting news is that tomorrow Thursday, August 27 Entertainment Tonight will debut The Men Who Stare at Goats trailer at 7:30pm on CBS in the US. Be sure to check your local listings.
