Actor James McAvoy honoured to carry Olympic torch in hometown

Actor James McAvoy was among a long line of people who carried the Olympic flame as it reached the first leg of the tour of Scotland last week (June 8).

The torch was passed to the actor in Glasgow in front of crowds who watched him ran down Buchanan Street in the city centre.

He told ITV News: "The fact that they do something like this and they visit every town and they visit all the different places and everybody can get involved and really feel like its personal to them, I think makes it really special so I'm really honoured to be involved."
