Canoe man
John Darwin’s life story is to be turned into a big budget movie, and
talks are now at an advanced stage with two rival film companies.
“John is
absolutely delighted at the thought of a movie about his life,” said a friend
of the freed fraudster.
“He is also
flattered that such big names want to play him.”
The BBC has
already screened Canoe Man, a TV drama starring Bernard Hill as Darwin, but
the two unnamed film companies believe the story has all the makings of a box
office hit.
