Ewan McGregor
McGregor on Born To Be King role
Ewan McGregor has opened up about working with Peter Capaldi on new romantic comedy Born To Be King.
But while the actor says he's a huge fan of fellow Scot Peter, he admitted he's mourning the movie's original title.
"I signed up to work with Peter Capaldi about six years ago on this film, and as so often is the way with independent film it's taken this long to get the funding," he said at the AFI Festival in Hollywood, where he was attending a screening of his film The Impossible.
It was originally called The Jacobite Slipper, which I've always been very fond of, it's a better title in a way."
Kate Hudson is reportedly in negotiations to join the film, which boasts a screenplay written by Capaldi and is a mistaken-identity caper revolving around a film extra (McGregor) with an uncanny likeness to a movie star, and the Hollywood starlet who finds herself falling for him.
"I've known Peter Capaldi since he acted with my uncle in Local Hero in the '80s, and I've always loved his work," Ewan said.
The film is due to begin shooting at Pinewood Studios in January.

The video, which has been posted on YouTube.com, was organised by officials at the Crieff and Strathearn Tourism Association, and spokesman Stuart MCLaren insists he was delighted when MCGregor agreed to take part.
