Much Ado About Nothing - DVD Appeal

As many of you know, there’s an appeal going around to get Catherine Tate and David Tennant’s production of Much Ado About Nothing onto DVD for posterity but also because, quite frankly, many, many fans of both actors will never get a chance to see this amazing production.

The lovely folks at Illuminations, who were involved with Tennant’s Hamlet DVD, have informed me that the appeal for the Hamlet DVD grossed approximately 7,500 signatures which clearly made all the difference in the world and helped give us Hamlet on DVD.

I urge you to please sign the Much Ado appeal HERE, and reblog or pass on the url to other Catherine Tate and/or David Tennant fans. We are currently at 5,700ish signatures and it would be awesome if we could get at least the 7,500 or so that Hamlet got. Thanks!

UPDATE: According to @_ophelia, Hamlet received a total of 7,892. COME ON!

Update: as at 21.30 this evening (24 May 2011), the total number of signatures had reached 7496.

  2. I've heard a lot about it. From critics and people who went to see and a lot of them said that it was really good. That the singing was good, the acting, the stage production, and even the rest if the casts as well were good. So I'm interested in it. And yes, I've seen Doctor Who, all of the episodes of the season 1-5 so far, I know Tennant is very talented, and I like how he's trying new things after he was the Doctor. Also Catherine Tate, which surprised me in Doctor Who when I started to love her even more. She's also very good at acting and I'm excited of what she's going to do in this play. I really hope they do make a DVD of it. I've already saw the Hamlet version one, also with Tennant, and at first, I thought I'll be bored by it, but It was really good. I recommend it to anyone who likes Shakespeare's work. Also it was easy to follow. Again I want to see this on DVD.
