Could James McAvoy still go to the Oscars?

According to Awards Daily Los Angeles radio stations reported that the Writers Guild of America has reached a preliminary deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. This means there may be an Oscar ceremony on Feb. 24th after all. Neither the WGA nor the AMPAS have made any statements, and are not expected to make any until next week. Please Lord, let there be Oscars. Who's for seeing Atonement win an Oscar?

Is that a trick question ?? It's rare that I ever 'agree' with the Best Picture choice (or most of the Noms for that matter !) so I don't have much hope - although 'Atonement' does have enough 'suffering' to please voters.

I'm already trying to wrap my mind around the idea of Johnny D. and Viggo in Tuxes, if James is there too.... well, 'icing on the cake' does not begin to cover it!

  2. Maybe all of the British members and the women of the Academy will vote for Atonement. Then again, the women may vote for Juno.

LOL! Viggo in a tux! His suit at the SAGS last week was very...interesting - I can't wait to see what he and Johnny wear! Every woman on the red carpet will swoon if James is there. Well, I would anyway.

You'd think so - but probably not! The ones who actually get to be there are far too 'jaded' and/or worried about their own careers!

And speaking of 'swooning..' - time I watched "Starter for 10" again! :-)
